Computer recycling company coming to Casa Grande
Lori Gary, executive director of the Greater Casa Grande Valley Economic Development Foundation, said Gold Circuit, Inc bought the former Hunter Douglas Wood Products building, expecting to invest $3 million in the operation at the 73,000 square-foot facility in Casa Grande. With the addition of a new corporate office in Chandler, Arizona and the Casa Grande operation, the company expects to add 55 people within three years.
Jim Greenberg, who founded the company in 1991, said the 39-employee operation is installing a state-of-the-art processing system for computer and monitor disposal. Greenberg said the Casa Grande operation "will be the most advanced in the United States, able to handle more than 800 monitors an hour," with all by-products recycled. Among the growing company's clients are financial institutions and large retail corporations. For more information on Gold Circuit Inc, go to www.goldcircuit.com.
The move was brought about through efforts of the Casa Grande Economic Development Foundation and the Arizona Department of Commerce. Mitra Khazai, a business development specialist at the Arizona Department of Commerce, said Gold Circuit "will make good use of proximity to markets, transportation, the labor force and the stable supply of required services - most especially electricity.
